London, November 29 : Guy Ritchie’s latest flick ‘Sherlock Holmes’ has been dubbed ‘cursed’ following a series of serious accidents on the film’s sets.

The Brit director’s cast and staff have reportedly had enough of their hands to question if they had a mystery to solve after Robert Downey Jr was made to see the stars by a 7ft wrestler.
The 43-year old, who stars as the famous detective, was ‘put out’ by 25-stone co-star Robert Maillet during a fight scene and had to have six stitches in his mouth before ‘drooling blood’.
“Robert was accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.
“He didn’t want to go to hospital and kept trying to get up. He’s a trooper. But there have been lots of other problems too,” the source added.
The knock-off is said to have come after he, co-star Jude Law and Ritchie had to escape from a petrol tanker that burst into flames halting the shoot to close for two hours.
The source added: “The crew have started joking about the curse of Sherlock Holmes.”

However, they decided against working together on the project in order to avoid any kind of marital arguments.
“Will wanted to do The Human Contract. He loved the male character but it’s so outside anything he’s ever done and we decided it would be best if he didn’t so that we would stay married!” Contactmusic quoted Jada, as saying.

London, November 29 : The frontman of ‘Status Quo’ Francis Rossi has said that he thinks rock band ‘Oasis’ is anything but rock ‘n roll.

The rock veteran, who with fellow band legend Rick Pafitt will soon release their new single ‘It’s Christmas Time’, said that he found the Manchester band dull and ‘boring’, reports the Sun.
He said: “What always comes to mind is Oasis. They call themselves a rock band and they stand there looking at the floor. Bored s***less they look. I’m not saying they’re a bad band, but that to me isn’t rock ‘n’ roll.”
The lead guitarist concentrated much of his disapproval on Liam Gallagher, who along with older brother Noel Gallagher is the co-founding member of ‘Oasis’ and the band’s leading songwriters.
He added: “That fella is still trying to pretend he’s 20 and he’s angry and really annoyed with his brother apparently. And he has got a really grumpy face and he has to stand there with the f*****g hump.
“Now, I don’t believe that anymore. I may have believed it some years ago but not still.”
Oasis have often been dubbed as “Quoasis” in the past for ripping off Francis and Rick’s three chord hit formula.

London, November 29 : Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has been involved in a legal row after his foundation was accused of buying a 19th century masterpiece with the help of nearly 1million pounds of taxpayers’ money.

‘St Cecilia’, bought by The Andrew Lloyd Webber Art Foundation for 6.6 million pound in 2000, has been alleged to have been funded through the “gift aid” scheme that permits charities to claim tax relief on donations.
The painting had been loaned to the Brit composer, who had hung the artwork in his home and offices for seven out of the last 29 months and paid 3,847 pounds in rent to his foundation.
The court battle, due to be carried out next year, had arisen after HM Revenue and Customs claimed that not enough rent was being paid to the foundation.
Lord Lloyd-Webber told The Telegraph that he was “baffled and saddened by this case and the tragic waste of large sums of money which could otherwise have been used for charitable purposes”.
“The exhibition of my entire collection and the foundation’s collection at The Royal Academy in 2003 stands testimony to that and the Foundation’s St Cecilia has been regularly loaned,” he added.
The playwright owns 450 paintings, including Picasso’s Absinthe Drinker from his Blue Period, valued at 35million pounds, in his private collection, and has given four of them - worth 34milllion pounds - to his foundation that then lends them to galleries around the world.

Gordon wrote to contestant Ruth Lorenzo, a 25-year-old contestant, that he disagreed with the judgment of Simon Cowell, one of the programme’s judges, that for her to sing in her native Spanish would be “disrespectful”.
Gordon took time off from the ongoing economic crisis and appreciated another contestant Daniel Evans, a 38-year-old swimming pool cleaner, who is a single father whose wife died in childbirth.
Daniel was badly panned by Cowell who told him that his music was only liked by pensioners.
